Damian McKinnon’s Esoteric Astrology – The Astrology of the Soul is not your normal personality-based astrology course. As the name suggests, it concerns itself with the soul’s desires and journey and as such needs a new set of astrological rules to follow in the interpretation. Damian McKinnon provides these rules and the framework to use and understand them in. New concepts are introduced such as the “planets” of Earth and Vulcan, as well as the ideas concerning the Seven Rays as taught through the Theosophical Society and the ideas of Karma and Reincarnation are addressed. Since we are examining a person’s chart based on their soul or from a more spiritual point of view, this course is more philosophical and the perceived data is more suggestive then empirical and must be related to the individual the chart is based upon for accurate understandings. One size does not always fit all. Like all of Damian’s courses, there are written assignments which are always reviewed and feedback provided. Like all courses, one gets back what one puts into them and this course is of no exception. If you dig deep into the assignments, there is no way that you are unable to come away without major epiphanies or insights into your own being or that of others. This course, for me, was game changing. It helped me validate and come to understand experiences from the soul’s perspective, bringing me clarity and understanding. I highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to see the spiritual side of astrology for either personal or professional reasons. Five Stars!!!
