Saturn. This was always going to be an interesting topic and a very personal one for those who attended. I have this theory that there is a theme of difficulty, suffering and/or karma that connects many astrologers – especially older astrologers. Karma as a universal or spiritual force tends to defy conventional frameworks, with the exception of the law of physics which states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. What happens after that is completely subjective. Some see karma as punishment while others perceive it as a kind of spiritual frequent flier program. Regardless, it delivers us to a point of trying to figure out what’s going on in our lives – not just in spontaneous instances, but like a movie set on repeat.
We look for rules, triggers, mechanisms and sometimes boogie men who appear to have gone out of their way to trip us up.
What Does Saturn Have For You?
Me? I look at it as a spiritual gauge that says we are mature enough to incarnate on a next level. The esotericists call that level the “fixed wheel”. And if the wheel was Wheel Of Fortune style TV show, then this planet would be the host. Suddenly Summer ends and the nights are longer. the climate gets colder and we become more aware of our alone-ness, because somehow the world keeps maneuvering us back to a point where it’s just us and our thoughts. Just us and what we have done. or not done. Or keep doing despite overwhelming information that tells us what we are doing is just – well, stupid. Humans and their bigger brains indeed.
Working With Saturn
This workshop takes a look at this journey as a kind of evolution. As always, we look at the mythology first – from Kronos in the Greek mythos through to the more stately deity in the Roman pantheon of Gods. We look at how this planet manifests in the modern world – from old money financial institutions to the theory of general relativity – from oligarchies and regimes to shadow work.
We look at the tarot and cards that represent the planet Saturn in the life of the aspirant. We explore how he expresses in a sign as for the personal planets Saturn often makes it too personal so getting a read on that cold hard energy can be a lifesaver indeed. We look at Saturn’s wavelength when bundled with a sign – indicators of where we need to grow up and where tough love will happen. And we explore how struggle leads to personal mastery.
We discuss the role that this planet plays in a house – where challenges or delays will manifest and how it’s going to play with other planets. And spoiler, he’s kind of a schoolyard bully. We discuss aspects – how Saturn in a positive aspect placement will impact other planets and how his superpowers of controlling time and forcing you to embrace the grind may manifest or play out. How it often feels like Krampus keeps coming down your chimney while everyone else seems to get Father Christmas.
We have a rather personal and in depth discussion about our Saturn returns – how they impacted us and what we were left with in it’s wake. And we discuss ways you can manage and support your own Saturn return process and clients who may be going through a return for the first time.
And finally we look at healthy ways of inviting more Saturn energy into our lives. How to enhance Saturn’s more positive influence with symbology, offerings and color, attracting hopefully more Saturn hero energy rather than the thug cop who arrests you for resisting arrest.
Join us in this installment and get a heads up on how Saturn can actually be a friend and supporter in your life.
